Nomination of Alternate Main Applicant
Key Amendments made to the CIP Act of 2024, makes it possible to nominate alternate family member, in the “beginning” of citizenship application, so if the principal applicant passes away, this way he/she can designate another main applicant to include more family members. Incase of single applicant, who has no family, they can designate alternate main applicant (eg. spouse/child) after approval, to receive citizenship in the future. This key feature makes it possible to pass down citizenship to future generation of family including grandchildren.
